My name is Rebeca. I was born in Santander where I lived until I was 19. Then I lived in Tenerife for seven years, in Castro Urdiales for a year, and I´m living in Santa Cruz de Bezana now.
I live with my boyfriend in a quiet village closed to Santander. It´s a nice place and it has
avery good communicationswith Santander. I live with mi pet “Isi”, too. It´s a great cat.I work in a Factory in Bilbao. I work as an administrative and an accountant. I like my job, but it´s far away from my house, and I spend a long time to get there.
Physically I´m medium-height, I´m thin, I am fair-skinned, I´ve got long, straight and blond hair. And I´ve got brown eyes.
I´ve got a strong personality. I´m extroverted, but sometimes when I have to speak in public (for example in class) I´m very shy. I´m a good listener, and a hard-working person too.
In my free time I go out with my friends, we go to the cinema, shopping, to Pubs or Discos… and we speak about our own things. I visit my nephews and I go for a walk with them. At the moment I’m studying first of high
tschool.When I was three I lived in a house near the beach and the mountain too, but since I was four I lived here, but not in the center of the city.
I have wavy fair hair, browm eyes, a fair complexion and I’m medium-height.
In my free time I like meeting my friends, playing tennis, and I also go skiing to Pirineos in winter .
This summer was in Ireland for a month, and in my opinion I really improved a lot there.

Thank you very much for your present at Christmas, the family is very exited whit it! And also they are making plans for do whit it in summer. We hope that you will come whit us for a week in August, because in July we will do changes in the village house and we think that is better if the people come in August when all things will finish.
You know that you can stay there the time that you wish, because we will stay there all the summer, at the week you can go to the small shopping center in the city, to the café and bowling… so at the weekends you can go to the beach and things like that… you know that is a very small city next to the beach, but I’m sure that you can enjoy it , like in others places.

DESCRIBING WHERE I LIVE
I live in a beautiful and small city, called Santander
whichwhere I was born so I’ve lived hereduringfor sixteen years.Santander is the capital city of Cantabria, and it’s situated in the north top of Spain, among Asturias, Pais Vasco y Castilla y Leon,
About 180,000 people live in this city and you can find people from many different countries, like Rumania or Colombia.
There are loads of beaches (they are the biggest tourist attraction), monuments and places to go here, so it’s a great place to visit. People here are as “nice” as in the north, everybody thinks we are cold and to me we are a bit narrow minded.
In Santander it rains very often, but the temperature isn’t too cold in winter and it’s warm in summer.
I like Cantabria’s food in general, and foreign people love it.
In summer there are sometimes music festivals and fireworks in August.
I hope you like my city.

Last year I went to Argentina with my parents, my sister and my little brother. I went in December because when it is winter here it is summer there. The weather was fantastic and it was sunny everyday. I was in Argentina for two weeks and I did a lot of things. The first week we were in Buenos Aires. We saw the city and it’s beautiful, it is very different from Spain. There we went sightseeing. Then we went to the waterfalls of Iguazú, I think that the waterfalls is the most beautiful thing in the country. During the second week we went to Patagonia and we could see impressive things like a glacier or different animals. We went on a ship and we saw penguins, seals and whales. Finally we went to the airport and I was a little sad because I didn’t want to go back home.
This holiday was fantastic and I enjoyed it a lot. I hope that someday I could come back to Argentina.

Thanks for you letter and for your interest, I am very impatient because the day is near, I am going to go by plane. First, I will take it in Santander on Thursday morning at eight o’clock and I think that I will arrive in London at half past nine. Then, at ten o’clock I will take a train in London and I will arrive in your town at eleven o’clock.
I like all kind of food but my favourite food is meat, I don’t like vegetables a lot but I always eat that at home. I prefer a single room but it doesn’t matter.

Dear teacher,
My name is Julio. I was born in Camargo but I live in Soto de la Marina with my wife and my two daughters, who are 10 and 8 years old.
I am an economist and I work in the department of risks in a financial company.
I am tall and slim. I have black hair with a lot of grey hairs. I am friendly and I am not quite but not talkative; in my work I am hard-working, responsible, patient and tidy.
During the working week I don’t have any free time; I only play a football match every Thursday evening; at the weekends I like being with my family; I like playing with my daughters and also meeting my friends. I also like reading and travelling.

My name´s Rafael Ortiz. I am 16 years old. I was born in al little town in Almeria, called Huércal-Overa. My father is from Madrid and my mother from Pamplona. They met in Pamplona when they were doing the degree of Medicine. I´ve got three brothers and two sisters, all of them older. They were born in Granada. When I was three, we moved to Lorca, another town in Murcia, until I was seven. After that we finally moved to Santander. I´m studying first of high school at Leonardo Torres Quevedo High School.
Physically, I´m of medium height, I´ve got short brown hair and green eyes, and I use Contact lenses, because I prefer them rather than wear glasses.

untidy but I disagree. My sister thinks I´m hard-working- I think she
means that I have too many jobs, I work at the Hospital and at the
University- I´m a theacher.
In my free time I like going to the gym to swim. In the summer I like
walking on the beach every day. Whenerver I can I like travelling with my friends. Last summer I went to Stambul, I really liked it. But I don´t have much free time because I work almost everyday and on Mondays and Wednesdays I have my English class.

My name´s Soraya. I live in Santander, a small city in the north of Spain. I´m married and I have three sons, the eldest works in Barcelona for Nissan. In the mornings I work in an office and in the evenings I´m learning English, I´m in my second year, and I really like it.

I received your e mail and I want to tell you in a few words, who I am.
My name´s Alberto as you know. I´m Spanish and currently I live in Pielagos which is a small village next to Cantabrico sea in the north of de country- near Santander, which is a beautiful city. I live there with my wife and our pet. I´m thirty five years old and I work for the government in Santander although the following year it´s very possible that I´m going to work in maritime speciality in the Canary Islands. Also I´m studying English at the school of languages in Santander.
I´m going to introduce myself. Firstly, I want to apolise because I don´t find a photo of myself. I have got short dark hair, I´m a short person with a normal aspect and I have got brown eyes. I don´t wear glasses.
About my personality, I think that I´m extrovert and friendly with the people that I know, although strangers could think that I´m serious and introvert.
When I have free time-I don´t usually have free time-I like walking along beaches with my pet and playing football or training by the mountains but now I don´t do it because my right knee is injured.

I’m Ines and I’m 26 years old.
My name is Ines because when I was born my father liked that name for me. I’m from Salamanca but I’ve lived in Santander for 4 years. Salamanca is a beautiful and great city. I love it and I would like to live there, but my place is in Santander because my boyfriend is from Santander and we have a wonderful house under construction.
I’m a nurse and I work at the hospital. I like it, but I need holidays …

Dear teacher,
My name is Julio. I was born in Camargo but I live in Soto de la Marina with my wife and my two daughters, who are 10 and 8 years old.
I am an economist and I work at the department of risks in a financial company.
I am tall and slim. I have black hair with a lot of grey hair. I am friendly and I am not quiet but not talkative; at work I am hard-working, responsible, patient and tidy.
During the working week I don’t have any free time; I only play a football match every Thursday evening; at the weekend I like being with my family; I like playing with my daughters and also meeting my friends. I also like reading and travelling.
I like the sea and the mountain a lot; I walk on the beach and I go trekking when I can; the problem in this case is that it takes me one day to do the walk and I prefer to pass that time with my children.
I studied English twenty years ago and now I’m trying to get back to the level I had and to improve after that. Furthermore I would like to visit other countries and be able to speak to their people.
